BODY CHEST
Around, not across.
Measure around the fullest part of your chest, under your arms. Keep the tape comfortable and breathe normally.
THE RIGHT FIT. FROM THE START.
A little measuring goes a long way. Compare a jacket you love wearing, check your body measurements, and choose the fit that feels right for you.
01 / YOUR BEST FIT IS THE BEST REFERENCE
Fasten it and lay it flat on a table. Smooth it gently without pulling or stretching the fabric.
02 / COMPARE YOUR MEASUREMENTS
One unisex size chart for men and women, from XXS to 6XL. These are finished jacket measurements, not body measurements. Double your jacket's flat chest and bottom widths before comparing them with the chart.
Tall adds 2 inches (5.08 cm) to sleeve and back length. Extra Tall adds 4 inches (10.16 cm). Chest, bottom and shoulder measurements stay the same. Sleeve is measured from shoulder seam to the end of the cuff.

YOUR BODY IS A DIFFERENT MEASUREMENT
Use a flexible tape and keep it level. A jacket needs room for movement and the clothes worn underneath.
BODY CHEST
Measure around the fullest part of your chest, under your arms. Keep the tape comfortable and breathe normally.
LAYERS & MOVEMENT
Think about what you will wear underneath. Compare a similar jacket over a T-shirt or hoodie to judge your preferred fit.
SLEEVE & BODY LENGTH
Two jackets with the same chest can feel different in length. Compare the cuff and hem positions you find comfortable.
BETWEEN SIZES? LET’S CHECK.
If your measurements point to different sizes, send them to us before ordering. Include the jacket you want and how you like it to fit.

Clear measurements make it easier to choose a varsity or letterman jacket with confidence.
Fasten a jacket that fits you and lay it flat. Measure the chest across the underarms, the shoulders seam to seam, the sleeve from the shoulder seam to the cuff, and the back length from the base of the collar to the bottom hem. Keep the tape straight and do not stretch the knit.
No. Your body chest measurement goes around your torso. A jacket chest measurement describes the garment and includes room for movement and layers. A flat underarm-to-underarm measurement is a width; doubling it gives an approximate garment chest circumference.
Compare a jacket you already like wearing, including its chest, sleeve and body length. Allow for the clothing you plan to wear underneath. If two sizes look suitable or your measurements disagree, contact Jacket Shoppe before ordering.
Check the size options on the product page or in the custom jacket builder. Available lengths vary by jacket. Confirm both sleeve and body measurements before choosing a tall option.
